Communicate ideas in writing, following academic conventions.
I came from an educational system that it is undoubtedly different from this current one; I came from the IGCSE educational system where essays are limited to 150 words and if these words were exceeded, even if they were 151 , extra words will be excluded! Writing my English essays in this way for three years ,of course, has led to confusion in the first couple of sessions where the minimum number of words is 500 words, which is approximately 3 times what I was trained to write in the IGCSE system. However, I managed to write more, not by filling gapes and relating to things that are off topic, but by expanding my ideas and expressing my opinion in a clear way unlike the high school when my opinion had to seem vague just to fit the "word number criteria". Also, I took great deal of time to understand the integrated essay; when this type of essay was first introduced I was unaware of what to do. However, I did my best to analyze the articles given to me and tried to create some sort between them, the topic question and my thesis.I always thought of it as an exhausting exercise, but once the connections is established the essay becomes loose. One of the significant integrated essays was about the factors that might prevent interpeneurs from operating ethically; in this particular essay, the two supporting articles were relevant and coherent. One of them discusses the motives behind unethical behavior in business while the other explains the consequences of this phenomenon. The content of both articles was crystal clear, without any complexity that most of the writers tend to add only to make their articles "look" better, which made me infer and focus only on important ideas discussed facilitating the way for me to write my essay.
